Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.
Senior thesis collection. A wearable art collection driven by material exploration and circular design. Using recycled billboards as the basis of creation.
Concept Ideation.
Y.T.T. "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" reimagines discarded vinyl billboards as a unique collection of high-fashion, experimental, eco-conscious garments. This is more than upcycling; it's a dialogue between advertising's ephemerality and design's endurance. Inspired by the kinetic movement of tech-wear, the biomorphic fluidity of microscopic cross-sections, and the architectural tension of structural symmetry, "Y.T.T." subverts garment conventions. Large scale graphics— the remnants of the billboards past life—become futuristic, layered garments merging fashion and art. Each piece, marked with its billboard number, is a testament to its one of a kind, singular origin. Select pieces double as mounted wall art, offering a third life and disrupting linear consumption. "Y.T.T." transcends recycling; it's a statement on conscious creation, unconventional materials, and design's power to address global challenges.

About. Biomorphism, evident in the fluid, organic shapes, mirrors the intricate forms found in microscopic cross-sections, lending a sense of natural, evolving structure. The kinetic energy of tech-wear, particularly its use of bands and hardware, informs the garments' dynamic movement and modularity. Finally, the organic symmetry of inkblots, with their mirrored, yet inherently imperfect forms, is translated into the silhouettes and overall garment structure, creating a balance between controlled design and natural, unpredictability.
